Live Steam – (August 1960 – current)

Publication begins as Live Steam Newsletter published by Pershing G. Scott in Iowa as a mimeographed
newsletter with a construction paper cover.
In 1966, Scott gives the publishing rights to William (Bill) C. Fitt in return for a lifetime subscription.
Bill Fitt begins with a “Complimentary Issue” in August of 1966.
In 1967 Fitt changes the name to Live Steam. Fitt sells the magazine in 1977. The magazine changes name in
2005
to Live Steam & Outdoor Railroading
