Fall Meet Success

The 2026 Fall Meet at the A&TC was a huge success! Over 70 people attended and trains were running all day. We saw the first use of the new dispatcher’s tower and Johnny climbed up and kept the railroad running smooth. Also, we saw the return of Woodie to the A&TC. Woodie was built by John Enders and first ran in the spring of 1980. This is the first steam throttle Stephen ever pulled.

On Thursday morning, the great minds that were present aligned and leveled the storage container. It does have a number of cars in it which made moving it more of a challenge. With two tractors, a pickup, and a jack, the crew got it in just the right position.

A huge shoutout goes to the A&TC Kitchen Crew. Lori organized a menu for three lunches and, of course, the Train Meet Spaghetti dinner. Big help came from Linda (who also cooked breakfast for all those staying onsite), Cindy for enormous kitchen help, Dave and Cindy for enchiladas, Donna and Janet for desserts, Judy for being “Lori’s secret superpower,” and Kathy, Doug, and BJ who stepped into fray.
