John completed this 1″ scale 0-4-0 #71 in the early 1960s. He sold it to Fred Springer in the late 1960s and the loco moved around the country with Fred running on tracks in NJ, IL, CO, and TX. Prior to his passing, Fred gave the switcher to John’s grandson, Stephen Balkum.
