This little diesel was completed in 1972. I had a gas engine and mechanical transmission.
It was later sold to Gerry Stuteville who upgraded it with a hydraulic transmission and working sanders. Gerry had to raise the body 2 inches to fit the upgrades and painted it in a green and white BNSF livery. The locomotive suffered a some damage from a grass fire that overtook Gerry’s train storage. After Gerry’s passing, the locomotive was purchased by the A&TC and is awaiting shop time for a full restoration.
