At the April 19 Workday, the focus was filling in ties and the initial ballasting of all the track past the bridges.
- Bob made panels
- Paul cut ties
- Ken and Linda started the day mounting the ends of the guardrails to points
- John O levelled track around the Austin loop to facilitate ballast trains
- John T and Mark made the final track connections at Agua Dulce and in the Austin yard
- Sofia, Shannon, Aaron, Chris, and Richard installed ties around the loop
- Ken and Tim shuttled tractor loads of ballast to awaiting cars at the front grade crossing
- Stephen, Chris, Richard, and John T spread ballast
- Lori and Linda produced a big sandwich buffet
