Work started a couple days before the workday this past Saturday, July 12. On Thursday, Johnny and Ken arrived and Johnny cut all of the trenches for the utilities around the steaming bays and social area. Saturday morning, the work crew was Stephen, Lori, Ken, Linda, Tim, James, David, John, Sofia, Chris, Bob, Nathan, Alex.
- Nearly everyone contributed directly to the installation of electrical conduit, water pipe, and compressed air lines in the trenches. This will service the steaming bays, the yard, and the station.
- Lori and Linda prepared cheeseburgers, beans, fruit salad, and cookies for lunch. Everyone also enjoyed a morning watermelon break and an afternoon popsicle break.
- Bob built more track panels and ripped 2×4 oak material for more ties.
